In September 2023, we adopted a new motto for our school - Growing together, rooted in faith. This is a synthesis of our school Mission Statement, and has been adopted by every subject area and year team. We hope to show that our mission - to allow all members of our community to grow into fullness of life - is a truly shared endeavour, with each playing their unique part in bringing our mission to fruition:

In Art, we grow together by nurturing creativity, facilitating communication, upholding respect, and championing self-expression, artistically transforming our community with a palette that embodies harmonious growth.

In Computer Science, we grow together by coding the future, unlocking innovation, and fostering a digital community of problem solvers.

In Design Technology, we grow together by creating an awareness of how design can reflect and shape our history and contribute to the culture, creativity and wealth of our nations. We encourage children to become autonomous and creative problem-solvers, both as individuals and as part of a team.

In Drama, we grow together by celebrating everyone's differences, appreciating talents, and allowing all to flourish in a creative, expressive and inclusive environment.

In English, we grow together by respecting and learning about each other's viewpoints through the study of exciting texts so that we can learn to question our own prejudices and ensure we support, care and value everyone.

In Geography, we grow together by studying past and present physical and human processes to further understand the shape and nature of our complex world and our place in it, both now and in the future, becoming well integrated global citizens.

In History, we grow together by learning about the past to better understand the future.

In Home Technology, we grow together by passionately inspiring healthy living and sustainable choices so that we can provide for the ones we love both now and in the future.

In Maths, we grow together by providing opportunities for students to learn and be inspired by how Mathematics is applied in real world contexts, to prepare them for the world outside school and future career prospects. 

In Music, we grow together by allowing each other to express ourselves creatively, sharing our love of music in a way which builds confidence within a supportive community of learners. 

In PE, we grow together by leading active and healthy lifestyles, refining creative and technical performances, and by having the spirit to overcome opponents in competition with respect.

In RE we grow together by asking life’s big questions, so that we can recognise what is true, good, and beautiful.

In Science, we grow together by recognising that nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood, explaining the wonders of this world by questioning theories, and expanding the mind through an infinite cycle of knowledge and analysis.

In MFL, we grow together by taking our responsibility as global learners seriously, using our communication skills to overcome barriers of language and culture.

In Business and Economics, we grow together by helping each other to think critically and develop the knowledge and skills to have a positive impact on society, the workplace and the wider world.

In Curriculum for Life, we grow together by learning how we can individually and collectively make positive choices connected to our health and well-being, our place in our communities and our futures.
