At Thornleigh Salesian College's Inclusion Department, our mission is to empower and inspire every student to become independent adults.
Together, we embark on this mission to create a learning community where independence, motivation, engagement, success, personal growth, and well-being are not just goals but realities for every student in our care.

1. Dynamic SEND Identification:
Our school takes a proactive approach to identifying students with SEND, and as a result, we have high numbers of students receiving timely interventions. This means we can provide the necessary support when it is needed most.
2. Successful Removal from SEND Register:
We take great pride in the fact that many of our students with SEND show progress and are eventually removed from the SEND register. This exemplifies our commitment to ensuring that every student reaches their full potential.
3. Positive Parent Feedback:
100% of parents reported that our Inclusion team is approachable, understanding, and holds high aspirations for their child. We value the trust parents place in us and work collaboratively to support each student's unique journey.
73% of parents reported their child had become more independent over the past 12 months.

4. Empowering Student Relationships:
Over 88% of our students feel confident identifying key staff members they can turn to when unsure about something in school. We believe in nurturing these relationships, as they provide the guidance and encouragement our students need to thrive.
95% of students reported that they have become more independent over the past 12 months.
