What another fabulous turnout for our annual “Communicake Competition”.

As part of our Language Week celebrations, students are invited to bake a cake or a sweet treat which represents a different culture or country. We have had an overwhelming response to this and students baked some delicious goods representing a range of cultures, from Italy to America with lots of traditional Polish desserts.

We then held a bake sale at lunchtime where the cakes were sold for 50p per slice. Overall, we raised over £95 which we will use to support our chosen charities of Caritas and CAFOD.

We have found it extremely difficult to judge the best bakes but we eventually found three winners for each of the following categories: Design, Taste, Sweet Treats and Most Popular.
