It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of Pope Francis, the spiritual father of the Catholic Church and a guiding light for people across the world.
At Thornleigh Salesian College, we give thanks for his inspiring leadership, his compassion for the young and the poor and his constant call for us to be Pilgrims of Hope - a message that has shaped our journey during this Jubilee Year.
We join the Catholic community and Salesian Communities around the world in prayer for the repose of his soul.
May he rest in the peace of Christ. Amen.
Our school is a home. We aim to provide a place where our children feel, and are, safe. We care about their well-being and provide structure and kindness so that they can flourish.
We are a school, a place of learning. Academic achievement is at the heart of this but so too is personal development. We work hard every day so that our children know more, can do more, understand more and are kinder, more compassionate and more generous of spirit.
In our school God is at the centre of all that we do. We are a place where spiritual growth is fostered and nurtured. We encourage all our children to discover their spiritual self and to grow as human beings.
In our school we aim to enjoy every day. We encourage children to experience new things and to make new friends. We offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities and holiday opportunities for our students so that they have a wide range of cultural activities.
